Experience
I participated in a volunteer tutoring program during my early college years to help struggling elementary students in families experiencing economic hardship. It was a very rewarding experience. I have also tutored independently and home school my daughter which we started with seventh grade. Since 2007, I've substituted in the Romeo, Troy, Wayne/Westland, Plymouth, and Northville school districts and currently have Michigan fingerprint and background clearance to work in the schools. In Troy School District I became building substitute at Athens High School for over one year, dedicating myself to nearly daily subbing assignments in various classrooms with the student at Athens. I've always enjoyed helping students and feel most rewarded when they get excited about what they're learning and when they finally understand something they were struggling with.
