Hello, I'm Erika from Clinton Township, Michigan. I am an alumna of Wayne State University in Detroit, where I completed both my undergraduate work and my master's degree in Spanish. I have been teaching university-level Spanish classes for years. I am working to complete my doctorate work in Spanish Literature. I have experience tutoring students at the college and high school levels. Outside of academics, I have been studying salsa dance for more than 10 years; I appreciate it as a fun way to get exercise, practice speaking Spanish, and meet people. I also enjoy cooking and exploring new cuisines.In my more than 14 years of Spanish study, I have developed a love for Spanish and language learning. I am inspired by making a difference in my students' lives. I have found that students develop language more quickly when we integrate all language skills into every lesson. Therefore, no matter what the task, I try to be sure to practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking into each lesson. I am available to tutor students in a variety of Spanish-related subject areas, including Spanish 1-4, AP Spanish language, and AP Spanish literature and culture.
